Our story

Built for my own sites. Free for yours.

Why a print shop in Chattanooga, Tennessee made PasteTheme, and how it came together.

I print shirts. I build websites.

I’ve run a print shop for 15 years and built websites for 30.

I also make My T Maker, a plugin that turns a WordPress shop into a t-shirt design studio. Customers design their own shirt, right on the site. Between the shop, the plugin and my clients, I set up a lot of sites.

Here’s the thing about a design studio, though. It needs a website to live in. And the designer wants the whole page, and it wants to be left alone.

One website, a stack of sign-ups.

Every new site, there I was on the plugins screen again. A form plugin. A mail plugin. A security plugin. An SEO plugin. A cache plugin. Each one wanted its own sign-up, its own license key, its own login. So many accounts, just for one website! And the upsells, on every screen.

Every plugin was one more thing to keep patched. Then a speed plugin and an image plugin broke the designer on phones.

I got tired of it. So I built the jobs in instead.

One theme. One plugin. The jobs built in.

I made PasteTheme with My T Maker in mind from the first version. It gave the designer a full-width page, and it keeps its hands off the designer’s pictures. Those plugins taught me that one!

It’s a free WordPress theme plus one free plugin, and that plugin builds in the jobs a small site usually installs plugins for: a contact form, the mail it sends, login lockouts, lighter pictures, dark mode and more. Neither one asks for an account or a license key, and neither pops up an upgrade.

A 2026 security report found most WordPress security holes are in plugins. Every job PasteTheme does itself is one less plugin waiting on its next fix.

One click and WordPress stops being a blog: you get Home, About, Services and Contact. Ask your AI for a section, copy it, paste it. Then change the words and pictures by clicking them.

Then we moved in.

I started it in late August 2026 under a working name. I designed it and built it by directing Claude, the same way PasteTheme lets you build with your AI. On September 2 it got its name: PasteTheme.

My T Maker’s own site, mytmaker.com, moved onto it: 27 pages and a shop. A friend’s shop site was built on it. This site runs on it too, and pastetheme.com’s pages score 99 to 100 in Google PageSpeed Insights on a phone (tested September 30, 2026). Your site’s score depends on your host, your plugins and your pictures.

Now it’s waiting for review at wordpress.org.
